The story of Helen follows her as a first generation born American in the late 19th Century New York City, when Brooklyn was still a countryside.
Mrs. Helen London is a title and name she never earned. Throughout her life Helen is followed by loves, lies and death. She used the title as surely as she used her beauty. She was a force to be reckoned and battled to protect herself whether it was in a bathroom, bedroom or courtroom.
Families tend to either forget or just not speak about a woman such as Helen. She come of age in the first decades of the 20th Century when women were still considered a man's property.
Helen eschewed the social conventions of her time and plotted her own destiny to find love without conditions. Her story transcends time. As this novel shows, history repeats, although technology and fashion are constantly changing. People remain constant. In Helen's world, they are either punished or rewarded.

Excellent story line, but the excessive use of punctuation, words in improper context, misspelled words, etc. were very distracting. This author desperately needs a proof reader and an editor. Maybe an advanced English class or composition class would help if he does not have access to a proof reader or editor.By the way, one star does NOT mean I hate it - the one star is for the quality of the work, not my emotional response to the work as a whole.

TRUST The Story of Mrs Helen London edition by Steven London Janet Pearson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book is a wonderful character study in the vein of "Driving Miss Daisy". Tragedy in life makes us who we are and this book delves into the character, her life and the tragedies that she and her family faced. It is also a good period piece illustrating issues from the earlier part of the 1900's. Helen is a strong character and her life's trials draw the reader in. It was a very good read. I think this would make a good movie as well.
This was a "Sex In The City" tale set in the early 20th Century when all that was new was in New York. The background was essential to understanding the main character's actions and motivations. The mixing of classes and seeing the people behind the scenes helped me step back in time. It reinforced the fact that all things are not always as they appear on the surface! An enjoyable fast read!
Excellent story line, but the excessive use of punctuation, words in improper context, misspelled words, etc. were very distracting. This author desperately needs a proof reader and an editor.
